Lauren has been working in the Sports & Fitness Industry for over
twenty years and is qualified to teach a number of sports including Athletics (Level 2 coach), Netball (Level 1-2), Swimming, Self Defense, Kick Aerobics and she also holds a diploma in Sports Psychology. She spent ten years working
abroad as a Skydiving Instructor and worked as a United States Parachute Association Freefall
Instructor Examiner. After coming back to England in
1996, she took qualifications as an RSA Fitness Instructor,
Circuits Instructor and Powerplate Trainer, and later as a Nutritionist. In the 1990's, she was introduced to Pilates, became an immediate devotee and went on to train with the Body Control
Pilates Association. Lauren is the Director of Stratford Pilates Centre® which
opened in 2000. She is a dedicated Pilates teacher, who believes
in on-going training for herself and staff, to maintain knowledge and
teaching skills. She has
built up a reputation over the years with Doctors, Osteopaths and other
Clinical Practitioners recommending Stratford Pilates Centre to their
patients as part of their rehabilitation. Lauren has taught
Pilates at
the
Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon and works as a Pilates
consultant.

In
January 2000, Melanie was introduced to Pilates after suffering from
Myalgic Encephalopathy (M.E) for 10 years. She found that attending
regular classes improved her mobility, co-ordination and general
well-being. Over the following 4 years, she continued her development
in the Body Control
Pilates method. In 2004, Melanie took the decision to train as a Body Control
Pilates teacher so that she could bring the benefits of Pilates she had experienced to others. She
now runs a full time Pilates business in the Evesham area of
Worcestershire.

Dorte
grew up in Denmark but has lived in the UK since 1996. She qualified as
a personal trainer in 2004 and when introduced to Pilates, found a
regime that offered intelligent exercise which delivered excellent
results. Dorte trained and qualified with Body Control Pilates in
2010 and now runs a successful business in Rugby, Warwickshire.
